Independent Fastpitch Association
NEW IFA RULE: All 14U teams will pitch from the 43' pitching distance.
NEW IFA RULE: All
8U - 10U - 12U will be allowed to bat either 9, 10 or 11 batters in a
line-up during bracket play. Batters #10 and 11 will be listed as an
X-Player on the line-up card. This will be determined by the line-up
handed to the home plate umpire at the beginning of each game. Once the
line-up has been submitted, each team is required to maintain the same
number of batters in the batting order for the remainder of the game.
Any line-up spot that comes up without an eligible substitute (via
injury or sickness) will become an automatic out for the batting team.

The Independent Fastpitch Association organization will strive to provide the youth of today with opportunities through fastpitch softball to expand their lives in the future. By guiding this youth with the promotion of fair play, teamwork, healthy competition, sportsmanship, leadership and the respect of others will remain a major goal of this group. Fastpitch softball can be used as a discipline to encourage hard work, self-responsibility, dedication and encourage the pursuit of a quality education. This organization will strive to always do what is right for the teams, regardless of the pressures from those individuals that may want to gain political monetary advantages. Our motto will be “always do what is right and be honest”. It is our goal that this philosophy reaches all teams under our watch.
